The pathway

Every stage earns the next one.

Development is not a highlight reel, it's a sequence. Skip a stage and it shows up three years later as a ceiling.

Stage 01 · Grades 3–6

Learn to move before you learn to score.

Enrolling soon

  • Movement literacy: run, stop, land, change direction, get back up
  • Both hands. Every drill. No exceptions
  • No position labels — we do not decide who a fourth grader is
  • Real fundamentals over drill-team choreography
  • Multi-sport participation encouraged, not tolerated
  • At least one full day off from organized basketball every week

Grounded in USA Basketball's long-term athlete development approach, which organizes by mastery of movement rather than by age and discourages single-sport specialization before 14.

Stage 02 · Grades 7–8

This is where the gap opens.

  • Footwork under fatigue — clean feet in minute forty, not minute four
  • A handle that holds up against pressure, not against air
  • Repeatable shot mechanics you can rebuild yourself
  • First exposure to film: watch yourself, honestly
  • Bodyweight strength and technique before load

Stage 03 · Grades 9–10

Skills become a role.

  • Role clarity — what you do that a coach can count on
  • Position-specific counters against real defenders
  • Live reps every single session
  • Film habits you run without being told
  • The weight room, on a program
  • GPA on watch. First highlight reel built

Division I men's coaches can begin contacting a recruit on June 15 after sophomore year. The work has to already be done by then. This stage is the deadline, not the warm-up.

Stage 04 · Grades 11–12

Efficiency, role, and a real list.

  • Efficiency over volume — do your job at a high rate
  • A specialized, clearly-defined role you can describe in one sentence
  • Film packages built for coaches, not for social media
  • A realistic target list across D1, D2, D3, NAIA and JUCO
  • A camp and showcase calendar with a purpose behind each stop

The honest recruiting timeline

What actually happens, and when.

  1. Grade 8–9Build the base. Nobody is recruiting yet — that is the point. Bank the footwork.
  2. Grade 10Define a role a college staff can name in one sentence. Start real game film.
  3. Grade 11The evaluation year. Live periods matter, transcripts matter more than most families expect.
  4. Grade 12Fit over flash. Find the program where they play, develop, and graduate.

Coaches evaluate skill, IQ, athletic profile, character, and academics. In that order, all at once. We build all five on purpose.

Find your stage in ninety seconds.
