Is my kid too young?

The group program is boys in grades 7 through 11. For grades 3 through 6, the Foundation track is enrolling soon — solely focused on laying the foundation for your athlete to advance through our program. No position labels.

How fast will we see results?

Results vary week to week, month to month, year to year. If someone tells you differently, they are selling you something. We re-test on a schedule so you are not guessing.

Do you guarantee a scholarship?

No. Anyone who does is lying to you. Roster spots are decided by coaches at other schools using their own budgets, their own needs, and their own timelines. I control the player and the résumé. We build both, and we build habits that pay whether or not the scholarship ever comes.

Can you train a player who is already on a travel team?

Yes, and most of ours are. I coach a travel program myself, so I schedule around a season instead of fighting it. Proper rest is vital to an athlete's performance.

Do you work with girls?

The current group program is boys grades 7 through 11. For anything outside that, contact me directly and we will talk honestly about whether I am the right fit.

What if we can only make one session a week?

Then we make that one session count and I give you homework. But hear this plainly: two hours a week does not beat the kid working six. Come ready, and do the work between sessions.

Where do you train?

Council Gym in Fuquay-Varina and North Haven in Raleigh. We serve families across Raleigh, Fuquay-Varina, Holly Springs and Clayton.

What does the first session look like?

Accepted Answer

A thorough evaluation of each athlete's strengths and weaknesses through drills involving shooting, ball handling, movement, and decision making, concluding with a review, a plan, and a discussion about whether we are the right fit.
